New Isle of Wight Ferry Service Goes Bust

When Scoot Ferries launched a new foot passenger service from Lymington Quay to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight it looked really promising.

The crossing took just 25 minutes from the Town Quay in Lymington to the harbour in Yarmouth, with boarding and landing quick and easy.

Unfortunately the company went into liquidation after just 6 months . . .

The service was popular with commuters during the week and day visitors to the Isle of Wight at weekends - and was also becoming popular with Island residents visiting Lymington. But obviously not popular enough.

Just heard that Scoot has ceased all sailings and is in the hands of the receiver! Short lived and such a shame because the Yarmouth / Lymington service was a real asset.

Maybe someone else will take it on . . . .
