- Thank you for your interest. We are a small business and therefore ask that you respect these terms which are designed to protect both of us. This is the small print, though often tedious, please read before booking to avoid any misunderstanding.
- Autumn Promotional Offer applies to new bookings for a stay of 5 or more nights between 1st October and 15th December 2012.
- Offer is a free return ferry trip for a Car, MPV or SUV up to 6 meters long (must not exceed 2 meters high) and passengers for crossings on Wight Link Ferries between Lymington and Yarmouth and Portsmouth and Fishbourne.
- Ferry bookings must be made by Farringford Estates Ltd. A surcharge will apply for any changes once the booking has been made.
1. Booking Contract
These are the conditions of the contract between you and Farringford Estate. When you book accommodation, a contract is made when you or your agent confirm your booking ("the Confirmation Date"). You accept these conditions on behalf of all members of the party and accept responsibility for paying for the account for the whole stay. When a booking is submitted online this is a provisional booking and only confirmed when Farringford Estate issues you a confirmation letter. You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking with us.
2. Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability.
3. Deposits
To guarantee a booking a non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking. This is payable on line or by telephone by debit or credit card, or by cheque. This deposit shall be deducted from your final account.
4. Payment
Six Weeks (42 days) prior to arrival the full account for your stay must be paid. We accept most major credit and debit cards and cheques. Payment can be made by cash, but must be made in person. A receipt will be issued. Beyond 42 days a non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to reserve your booking. Bookings made within 42 days of arrival will require full payment.
5. Cancellations
All cancellations are subject to a charge. Cancellations made 42 days and over from the arrival date will result in the loss of the £100 deposit. Cancellations under 42 days of arrival will result in the loss of 100% of the final balance.
6. Special Requests
If you have any special requests, please tell us when you book. We shall endeavour to accommodate your requests, although in some cases we may not be able to. There may also be a supplemental charge for some requests.
7. Amendments
You may request amendments to your reservation by contacting us as soon as possible quoting your reference number. We will endeavour to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee to do so. There may be a supplemental charge for any amendments made. Any reduction in the length of stay before or after arrival will be treated as a cancellation and subject to charges.
8. Insurance
Travel and holiday insurance is not included in your package however we do recommend you take appropriate cover.
9. VAT
All charges quoted are inclusive of VAT. The Company reserves the right to amend this tax element in the event of a change of VAT rate.
10. Check in
Accommodation is available from 4.00 pm. The key for your cottage can be collected from reception.
11. Check out
Accommodation is to be vacated by 10.00 am. Late checkouts may be available for a charge. Please contact us during your stay for further information. Although we do ask that accommodation be vacated in the morning, all of our guests are more than welcome to continue using the general facilities at Farringford until 5.00 pm on the day of their departure.
12. Minimum Stays
There may be restrictions on the number of nights you can stay at certain times of the year.
13. Included in the price
When staying with us in our self catering accommodation your accommodation is inclusive of bedding, towels, full use of facilities and utility useage. A linen change is provided every 4 days. A full cottage inventory is available on the website or by request.
14. Not included in the price
External telephone calls will be charged accordingly. Extra linen changes will be charged at £10 per change. You cottage can be serviced daily by prior arrangement and is charged at £15 per day. Dogs are also subject to a charge of £7 per day.
15. Damage to Property
All breakages and damage must be reported and paid for. The accommodation must be left clean and tidy on departure. Upon arrival your credit/debit card details will be entered into our system but no money will be deducted unless any damages or additional cleaning requirements are found after departure.
Excessive cleaning requirements will be charged at £15 per hour.
16. Dogs
A maximum of two dogs are permitted in specific cottages at a charge of £7 per day per dog. The Management reserve the right to refuse admission to or to eject from Farringford any dogs, which they consider inappropriate as a family pet at a family location. Dogs may not be left unaccompanied in cottages and are not allowed on beds or settees. Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times. Dogs must be exercised well away from the accommodation areas and owners have the responsibility to clean up after their dogs. Owners not complying with these rules will be required to remove the offending dog(s) immediately. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, play or pool areas.
17. Smoking
A no smoking policy applies to all cottages and indoor facilities as well as the pool area.
18. Disabled facilities
Although some cottages are single story dwellings with level access they do contain steps due to sloping landform. Thus some properties are suitable for partially disabled guests but we do recommend you contact us first to insure we can meet your requirements.
19. Unreasonable behaviour
· Farringford Estate reserves the right to cancel your stay with immediate effect in respect of any individual or party with whom that individual has reserved a holiday, if it considers that the individual's behaviour is inappropriate or if that individual's behaviour is affected by the use of alcohol or drugs, or if that individual's behaviour affects the physical or emotional well being of our other guests or employees.
20. Car Parking
Farringford Estate offers all guests free car parking in its various car parks. Guests use the car parking at their own risk and Farringford Estate accepts no liability for loss of or damage to cars or other property left in the car parks.
21. Fires
Open fires are not allowed anywhere within the grounds of Farringford. Barbecues are permitted, but should be used responsibly so as to cause no damage to the grounds or equipment.
22. Facilities
All facilities at Farringford are unsupervised. It is the parent's responsibility for the safety of their children under the age of 18 and themselves. A list of safety guidelines which must be adhered too are provided in an introductory pack in each cottage. They are also displayed around the pool area.
The outdoor swimming pool is open from 8am to 8pm from the 23rd May - 31st September. Farringford reserves the right to close any facilities if deemed necessary.
Free equipment for some of the facilities is available on request subject to availability and a returnable deposit.
