Comfortable Self Catering

Dogs Welcome

Well behaved dogs are very welcome at Farringford. Their stay with us will cost just £7.00 per night per dog!

Holiday Activities

Our Par 3 nine-hole golf course has spectacular views of Afton Down, site of the legendary 1970 Isle of Wight music festival. Challenge your partner to a game of tennis or relax by the swimming pool while our children’s play area and paddling pool provide hours of fun for the little ones.

West Wight, as it is known locally, is a walker's paradise and Farringford directly adjoins some of the most remarkably unspoilt and beautiful coastline in Southern Britain, rightly designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Close by is one of the Island's best kept secrets, Compton Bay, which offers a two mile stretch of dramatically contrasting golden and dark sands. It is a great place to find fossils, including those of dinosaurs, and a popular beach with surfers.

The Tennyson Trail

Tennyson loved the outdoors and he wrote tenderly and in great detail in his poems about the rich diversity of flora and fauna on the estate and on Tennyson Down.

Foot paths lead from the green gate in the grounds to the famous Tennyson trail and Tennyson Down, a spectacular walk through tranquil woods and along coastal paths heading east across to Freshwater Bay enjoying stunning views, and west to the Needles.
