The Restoration of Farringford

In the past 10 years there have been many changes at Farringford.  The aim of the restoration has been to take the house back to how it was when it was inhabited by it's most notable resident Alfred, Lord Tennyson and to open it to the public.

    The original house was a square main structure with two thin parallel wings running off from its west side; its plan thus resembled a large U.
