We loved our visit. The guides were really knowledgeable and passionate about their work. They were also great storytellers that brought the poets' story to life. Though I'm personally not a fan of audio guides (I read much faster), I was glad that most of the information was also to be found in leaflets in the rooms. The interior was absolutely stunning, especially all the replications of the wallpaper, curtains and rugs.

It hasn't been open long so looks fresh and new. A lot of work has gone into making the house interesting to visitors and explaining the history. The gardens are beautiful, well laid out and cared for, obviously a labour of love. It's at one end of the island but well worth the drive wherever you are staying.

Visited the House yesterday. What a beautiful restoration. Found the audio guides really good and simple to use, to be able to stop and start them as you wish is really nice so you don't feel rushed and can pause to contemplate when you want to. Personally would like a bit more information and displays on the restoration of the building and how it has changed over the years. The sections showing the original wallpaper and friezes were excellent.
