Sunday 2 October The Isle of Wight Autumn Marathon One of the longest held and some say the most challenging. It starts and ends in Cowes.

Friday 12-Sunday 14 October The Isle of Wight Literary Festival The first of its kind on the Island, to include walks, talks, literary workshops, children's story telling and music.

Sunday 14th October The Isle of Wight Bus Museum Annual Running Day If you love vintage buses and coaches then this is the full experience.

Friday 26 October - Monday 29 October Autumn Walking Weekend Held Island wide. To include treasure hunts, wild food walks, twilight walks, friendship walks as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Nordic walking, and down land and forest walks.

Monday 29th October - 2 November Wizard Week Halloween for all the family during half term week; magic shows, enchanted woodland walks, steam train rides. See owls, bats, birds of prey....and wizards.
