Farringford were delighted to have been awarded Gold in the Heritage Park/Garden category at the recent South & South East in Bloom Awards 2024. Other gold award winners included Osborne (English Heritage), Hever Castle, Hilliers and Arundel Castle.
Ellen Penstone-Smith collected the award at Wisley, the RHS Garden on the 20th of September.
It is our second year in the competition. This year the gardens were also entered in the Walled Garden category for which they were awarded Silver Gilt – just one point away from Gold!
As the gardens are still young (in their 7th year) this really is an honour and firmly puts Farringford on the map as an award-winning garden.
The Isle of Wight was well represented with other Gold winners of their categories including Ventnor Park, Bembridge Coast Hotel, Norton Grange Coastal Village and Osborne. The award winners have showcased Isle of Wight horticulture, we truly are ‘The Garden Isle’.
