If you are, here are some ideas of where to find the Christmas fun

Of course you can still experience the stunning views, beach stomps and countryside, but you can also immerse yourself into the Christmas spirit. There really is a lot of choice for all visitors this year. Christmas events on the Isle of Wight start from the end of November.

These are just some of the Christmas events being talked about:

New this Year

‘Polar’ at Robin Hill from 29th November to 21st December.  There are lots of magical elements to this Christmas experience, Polar Hollow, Polar Village & the Polar Woodland Walk culminating in the Polar Show Finale!  You can even meet Pippa the interactive Polar Bear – promises to be magical but with more of an evening focus starting from 5pm onwards.

‘Tapland’ in search of Santa at Tapnell Farm – Freshwater - Once through the magical door, anything can happen – a fantastical Christmas journey awaits children and their families – including meeting Santa! 

Some of the annual favourites are:

Isle of Wight Steam Railway Santa Specials – running on weekends from 30th November, 1st , 7th, 8th, 14th of December then from the 20th right through to 24th December - 

Victorian Christmas at Osborne House 30th November to 1st December – always a favourite, the Victorians really knew how to have a beautiful Christmas.

Southern Vectis Christmas Lights Tour runs from 7th December to 23rd December – a tour to see all the bright lights around the Isle of Wight.

During December Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival is held in several venues in the area, there are lots of Christmas Trees displayed with various events associated with them including Christmas Fayres and Carol services – the main venues are open on the weekend of 7th & 8th December.

Christmas Markets where you can purchase unique gifts.

Garlic Farm – 27th 29th November at the the  I Love Wight Christmas market, all stalls are Isle of Wight-based artists, crafts people and producers making a range of quality, original items.

Mottistone Gardens Christmas Market is on the 7th December

Briddlesford Lodge Farm  Christmas market on the 8th December
