Award winning chef, Justin Brown is putting out the bunting in preparation for a gourmet celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Come and join in the fun this bank holiday weekend at Farringford, former home of the Poet Laureate, Alfred Lord Tennyson.

Monday 4th June (2.30- 5 pm) Diamond Jubilee Cream Tea Home-made Scones, Jam and Island Clotted Cream from £2.95 per head; Finger Sandwiches from £3.95 per head; Strawberries and Champagne from £7.50 per head; Jugs of Pimms – £12;

Wednesday 6th June (6-9 pm) Diamond Jubilee Barbecue (adults: £13.95, children:£5.95 per head) includes: Home-made burgers, locally made sausages, Newchurch pork chops, marinated chicken thighs, mixed vegetable skewers, tiger prawns with chilli and garlic and a selection of side salads.
