A wonderful walled garden, immaculately kept. If you only have time to visit one garden on the island it has to be this one. And not a ripoff price to visit like some others.
The natural beauty of the gardens. Splendor of the house.
Absolutely fantastic garden - can't believe it has been created in 8 years - well done gardeners. Julie
What a fabulous place! Very well run with knowledgeable guides and manageable numbers in each tour! Absolutely beautifully restored!
Beautiful & interesting. I can see why Tennyson chose this pretty -inspiring place to live!
This was my favourite historic site during our IoW visit. Despite a windy, rainy afternoon the walled garden was lovely. We booked a tour of the house. The audio guide was surprisingly good, informative with just the right amount of detail.
Lovely setting for a peaceful holiday but also things to do for children.
Would recommend and would come back
A little 'bit of heaven' in the Isle of Wight - so relaxing walking around the garden...thank you. Rosemary
Beautiful walled garden and lovely scenic walks around the estate. This is an absolute must for Tennyson fans. Historical facts and information about the house and its restoration. Staff and owner very friendly and helpful.
Lovely afternoon visiting the grounds, house was closed. Terrific project to bring it back to its original state, with a very interesting display showing how it was achieved. Gardens were amazing. Dog friendly in the gardens.
Thank you for a very warm welcome. We enjoyed the tranquillity at the Alfred cottage. Wonderful to be able to walk on Tennyson Down, Freshwater Bay and the Needles from the cottage.
