Absolutely loved it - especially the handmade arches. Joy
Enjoyed all the Julia Cameron photographs.
Our second visit and looking forward to our third! Updated cottage is excellent. Loved the wood stove. Nothing is missing. Lovely bacon and eggs for breakfast. Delicious bread and butter too. All good.
What a fascinating tour! Not only was the audio very interesting, the guides were so passionate & informative. Thank you all - especially The Tennysons.
We have just had our second holiday at Farringford in one of the cottages. The cleanliness and welcoming staff are 5*. We will certainly be back again. Thank you.
A little 'bit of heaven' in the Isle of Wight - so relaxing walking around the garden...thank you. Rosemary
The current owner has restored this house exceptionally well. The atmosphere is preserved so well its a time capsule that needs little imagination to appreciate the life of Tennyson and the family. It reflects his desire to be somewhat isolated from the fame and adulation of his "fans " . Seeking peace and privacy to undertake his craft. Tha guides are knowledgeable and to hand. The audio tour adds so much more. For the less mobile there are several steps and a flight of stairs to negotiate but guides were available to help. A good experience and the grounds and gardens can be enjoyed at leisure. Parking couldn't be easier.
Thank you to the enthusiastic and friendly staff!
Amazing. Always wanted to visit. So pleased it has been restored.
Beautiful Garden - so much colour for October! Stephanie & Stuart October 2025
